Oklahoma wins Big 12 Championship-Reaction

Oklahoma defeated Texas 39-27 to win the 2018-19 Big 12 Championship. The Sooners will get into the playoff if Georgia loses the SEC Championship to Alabama. If Alabama loses,Oklahoma should get in over them just because they are a power five conference champion.

How to fix conference championship games

I know this is just an easy fix,but please do this college football,I don’t want to see blow outs all day today (Saturday).

1.Scratch divisions or equal them out.For example the Big 10 East is so much better than the West and how much better the SEC West is so much better than the East.So here’s your example:(Whichever number they are is there rival)

SEC
Blue
1.Alabama
2.Mississippi State
3.Tennessee
4.Florida
5.Missouri
6.Arkansas
7.Kentucky
Yellow
1.Auburn
2.Ole Miss
3.Vanderbilt
4.Georgia
5.Texas A&M
6.LSU
7.South Carolina

2.As that as an example, even if you do even out the divisions,I think the top two teams from each conference (based off of conference record and then overall record) and send them to the conference champinship instead of having a great team from one division play another team from a weak division (ex. Ohio State,Northwestern;Clemson,Pitt)

So here’s how the conference championships would look like with this format

AAC:Temple vs. Central Florida
ACC:Syracuse vs. Clemson
Big 12:Texas vs. Oklahoma
Big 10:Michigan vs. Ohio State
Pac-12:Washington State vs. Washington State
SEC:Georgia vs. Alabama

Predicting all of the power five college football conference championship games (And the American’s)

American-Memphis vs. UCF
With the loss of QB McKenzie Milton to injury,UCF may struggle early but I don’t see them having much trouble.Predicted score:UCF 31,Memphis 21

ACC-Pittsburgh vs. Clemson
Let’s face the reality.Clemson with their offensive weapons and talented defensive front, will dominate Pat Narduzzi and the Panthers.Predicted Score:Clemson 38,Pitt 17

Big 12-Oklahoma vs. Texas
Texas beat Oklahoma in the regular season, barely, and when Oklahoma can’t stop Texas’ offense and Kyler Murray and the Oklahoma’s offense try to make a comeback, the Texas defense will make a play, sealing the Big 12.Predicted Score:Texas 35,Oklahoma 24

Big 10-Northwestern vs. Ohio State
This game should be a shootout, and at the end Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins will lead a game winning drive, making OSU’s playoff case even more interesting.Predicted Score:Ohio State 49,Northwestern 42

Pac-12-Washington vs. Utah
As Washington defeated the Pac-12’s last hope for the playoff,Washington State, they earned their spot in the Pac-12 championship versus Utah. With seniors Jake Browning and Myles Gaskin,I believe Washington will sneak away with a field goal win.Predicted Score:Washington 20,Utah 17

SEC-Georgia vs. Alabama
Georgia should be ‘Bama’s biggest test and they will be until Tua will score a few touchdowns in a row and the Tide will get a few stops,Alabama should get it done.Predicted Score:Alabama 49,Georgia 35

Conference Realignment (Part 3): What if the Big 12 disbands (and where would each school go?) (My Big 12 Realignment and what should happen in the next conference realignment)

What if the Big 12 disbands? What conference would each school end up?

Baylor
Baylor is in a small Texas market so they would have to tag along with the othr Texas schools to the Pac-12 super conference, the Pac-16.I don’t think they will do that so I think that the American conference will come calling.Conference Pick:American

Iowa State
Iowa State would fit well in the Big 10 with a good basketball program and a football program on the rise. The Iowa-Iowa State rivalry would be huge, annd within a few years they will have recruiting pipelines ranging from Nebraska east to the New York area. They could also go to the ACC or the American if Iowa doesn’t want them there.Conference Pick:Big 10

Kansas
Like Iowa State, the Big 10 would want basketball-heavy Kansas. While their football program needs work (a lot of WORK!) Kansas would come into the Big 10 ready to dominate in basketball.Conference Pick:Big 10

Kansas State
I don’t really know which conference to put Kansas State in so I’m just going to tag them along with Kansas.Conference Pick:Big 10

Oklahoma
When Texas wants to join the Pac-12 and the SEC comes calling… Conference Pick:SEC

Oklahoma State
The SEC may come calling if they join Oklahoma in a package deal which is probably want Oklahoma State wants.Conference Pick:SEC

TCU
TCU would love to join the SEC but I don’t think Texas A&M would want them in their conference.Joining the Pac-12 super conference would be the best bet for the Horned Frogs.Conference Pick:Pac-12

Texas
A sticking point for the crown jewel for the Big 12 is the Longhorn network.Between the Pac-12 and the SEC,the Pac-12 would want the Longhorn Network so…Conference Pick:Pac-12

Texas Tech
Tagging along with Texas and TCU,Texas Tech would join the Pac-12 super conference.Conference Pick:Pac-12

West Virginia
The odd team out in the Big 12 would join the ACC with built in rivalries with Pittsburgh,Virginia Tech,Syracuse, and Boston College are all built in rivalries from the old Big East and as their academics improve they would be a perfect fit.Conference Pick:ACC

Will the Draymond Green and Kevin Durant scuffle end the Warriors’ dynasty?

Draymond Green and Kevin Durant had a few words for each other during the Warriors loss to the Clippers when Kevin Durant had a wide open shot to win the game and Draymond didn’t pass to him.

Could this end the Warrior’s dynasty? Will this scuffle end immediately or keep showing up the rest of the season? If the Warriors win another championship this year,I don’t know if this will hide the off court issues that some of these Golden State players are having. While I don’t think this will end the Warriors dynasty,it is not a sure thing that Kevin Durant will be back in Oakland next season.

Les Miles will return to the Big 12 and coach Kansas (His first coaching job was at Oklahoma State). This will (hopefully improve Big 12 recruiting in the southeast for the Big 12) and improve defense in the Big 12.

Why LaMelo Ball won’t last in college

Since LaMelo Ball has started attending and playing basketball at Spire Institute in Geneva,Ohio it got me thinking.

Wherever (if he even does) LaMelo goes to college,he won’t last long. For the simple reason being that he plays for himself,he’s not a team player, and just wants the money. In my honest opinion,he should take the G-League route and will end up getting paid until (or if) he’s able to get into the actual NBA.Those are all of my thoughts on that,so…

“iwstbbacs” (Carter) is signing out.

Star wing Jimmy Butler traded to Philadelphia for multiple players

Timberwolves Receive:Dario Saric,Robert Covington,Jerryd Bayless,Second Round Pick
76ers Receive:Jimmy Butler

Philadelphia finally pulls the trigger to get Jimmy Butler.Butler will replace and be a better version of Robert Covington who should come into Minnesota replacing him.The Timberwolves do get two nice young forward pieces in aforementioned Robert Covington and Dario Saric.Butler should be a player that will help Philly’s defense out but Ben Simmons is losing two shooters to pass to in Robert Covington and Dario Saric. That’s the only problem with this trade.Philadelphia is losing space in this trade as Butler is not the best shooter

What if there was a four team playoff in each conference?

Since the Kentucky-Georgia and Alabama-LSU games are like SEC Semifinal games into the SEC Championship in December,it got me thinking. What if there was a four team playoff for each conference IN PLACE of their conference championship game?!

Rules
The top two teams from each division in a conference will play each other to decided who will face the other division winner in the conference championship game.

If there are no divisions in the conference the top four will play in the playoff.

The rankings of the teams in each conference are based off of head to head (first tiebreaker) and their College Football Playoff Ranking (second tiebreaker).

Here’s what it would’ve looked like last season.

The records shown by the teams are their conference records.

ACC

Atlantic Semifinal
1.Clemson (7-1)
3.NC State (6-2)

Coastal Semifinal
2.Miami (7-1)
4.Virginia Tech (5-3)

Big 12

4.Texas (5-4)

2.TCU (7-2)
3.Oklahoma State (6-3)

2.Ohio State (8-1)
4.Michigan State (7-2)

West Semifinal

3.Northwestern (7-2)

Pac-12
