Five-Star Forward Greg Brown commits to Texas (CBB News)

Ranked number nine in the 2020 ESPN 100, Forward Greg Brown made his college announcement on Friday. The McDonalds All American selection chose hometown Texas over Auburn, Kentucky, Memphis, Michigan, or the NBA G-League for a year. Brown heads to Texas just like his dad before him, who played football for the Longhorns.

Memphis Forward Precious Achiuwa has decided to enter his name into the 2020 NBA Draft. The former five-star recruit signed with an agent, so he cannot return to school in the fall of 2020. The American Athletic Conference Player of the Year he averaged 15.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game during his lone season in Memphis.

Many consider Center Matt Haarms the top available tansfer. The former Purdue big man committed to play his final season at BYU on Friday. Haarms chose BYU over Kentucky and Texas Tech after being contacted by 25 plus schools when he entered his name into the portal.

Another top international big man Daniel Batcho has committed to Arizona. Batcho posted plus twenty points and plus ten rebounds in many big games.

ESPN’s top prospect Jalen Green skipping college ball, to play in NBA G-League

The top ranked prospect in the 2020 ESPN 100, Five-Star Shooting Guard Jalen Green, will not play college basketball next season. The California native has been informing teams that he will likely play next season in the NBA Developmental League, the NBA G-League per bleacher report. Green will make an official announcement (I’m writing this the morning before he makes his official announcement) at 12 PM CT which will confirm his decision. If he were to go to college, he would’ve decided between Auburn, Memphis, and home state USC.

Five-Star Todd decommits from Michigan, will head to play overseas (CBB News)

Five-Star big man Isaiah Todd decommitted from Michigan this week. His plan is to go overseas and play professional basketball there before likely declaring for the 2021 NBA Draft next summer.

Former Ohio State Guard Luther Muhammad is transferring to Arizona State. Muhammad will have to sit out the 2020-2021 season if he is not granted a waiver by the NCAA.

Florida leading scorer Keyontae Johnson has taken his name out of the 2020 NBA Draft and will return to Gainesville next fall. Johnson averaged 14 points per game and seven rebounds per game during his sophomore season.

The number two shooting guard in the 2020 ESPN 100, Josh Christopher announced his commitment to Arizona State over Michigan and UCLA.

Predicting where ESPN’s College Gameday will go each week for the 2020-2021 season

Today I predict where ESPN’s College Gameday show will go each week for their college preview show each week.

Week 0
Navy vs. Notre Dame (Dublin,Ireland)
If Gameday goes anywhere for Week 0, it will be in Dublin for one of the most historic games as they come. Notre Dame taking on Navy.

Week 1
USC vs. Alabama (Arlington,TX)
There aren’t very many top heavy match ups in week one so I chose the annual kickoff game in Arlington between two bluebloods, Alabama and USC.

Week 2
Texas at. LSU
Gameday went to Austin for this game a year ago and boy it was a treat. Why not make the trip down to Baton Rouge for this one?

Week 3
Georgia at. Alabama
I mean, who wouldn’t want to see these two SEC powerhouses play for the first time since 2007. Gameday would love to go to Tuscaloosa. Enough said.

Week 4
Wisconsin at. Michigan
Gameday went to this game many times during the 2010s and I’m not finding too much else that is worth watching. Obviously teams will rise up the rankings and fall down the rankings, but right now this game is the one to watch in week four.

Week 5
Notre Dame vs. Wisconsin (Green Bay,WI)
Yes, Wisconsin is getting Gameday for the second straight week. But at Lambeau Field, this game has to be the one that the Gameday gang goes to.

Week 6
Auburn at. Georgia
While LSU-Florida is also this week, Gameday has already been to Baton Rouge. While they have been to a Georgia game it was not in Athens, so it’s my pick for week six.

Week 7
Texas A&M at. Auburn
If Gameday doesn’t want to be in SEC country for consecutive weeks, they could go to Utah-Washington but Texas A&M seems to be the most talented its ever been under Jimbo Fisher and Gus Malzahn has Auburn as a likely pre-season top ten team.

Week 8
Ohio State at. Penn State
The likely battle for the Big Ten east title in 2020 never disappoints. It might just be Penn State’s year to take down the buckeyes you never know.

Week 9
Florida vs. Georgia (Jacksonville,FL)
This is usually the de facto championship in the SEC east. So, that’s why gameday goes to Jacksonville on Halloween.

Week 10
Alabama at. LSU
Despite Gameday going to many SEC games, how could they not go to Baton Rouge for a potential de facto SEC west championship yet again in 2020?

Week 11
Washington at. USC
If both teams are good enough and only if they are good enough Gameday could head to Los Angeles for the first time in awhile.

Week 12
Nebraska at. Wisconsin
The right pick for this week would be Texas A&M-Alabama or LSU-Auburn but with the amount of SEC games already attended by Gameday it’s hard to see them going down south again. So, Wisconsin-Nebraska is my pick.

Week 13
Auburn at. Alabama
Both teams will be in the thick of things in the SEC. Enough said.

Where does five-star Josh Christopher end up?

Ranked number ten in the 2020 ESPN 100, Five-Star Shooting Guard Josh Christopher is one of the lone 2020 prospects that has not signed. He ends his long recruitment with a decision today. Also to note, even if Christopher makes his decision before 2 PM CT (when this post goes up), I’ve been working on the post way before then. Anyway let’s take a look at the contenders to land Josh Christopher.

Arizona State:I’m sure Coach Bobby Hurley wants him to come to Tempe but even with Christopher’s brother playing there, it seems unlikely. It might be the second closest to home for him (he’s from California) but again, the Sun Devils seem like their third in the running at this point.

Michigan:Michigan Head Coach Juwan Howard started recruiting Christopher the minute he walked into Ann Arbor. Howard helped Michigan get to be the definite favorite to land his services and it may not be close.

Missouri:Missouri doesn’t belong here. After searching reliable source articles, there is nothing mentioned about how the tigers will land Christopher.

UCLA:UCLA was the early favorite to land Christopher. Once Forward Shareef O’Neal transferred to LSU, the UCLA coaching staff stopped recruiting Christopher heavily, so they could be called a “far away” second place in the race for Josh Christopher.

Prediction:I’m going with Michigaan because they have been committed to him most since Juwan Howard was named head coach.

Iowa’s Garza enters draft, but keeps elgibility (CBB News)

Iowa All American Center Luka Garza announced he is entering his name into the draft but keeping his elgibility by not signing with an agent. He would be a senior if he returns next season.

Ranked number one in the 2020 ESPN 100, Five-Star Shooting Guard Jalen Green will announce his decision next Friday April 17. The Fresno,California product will decide between Auburn, Florida State, Memphis, Oregon, and USC. ESPN’s number two ranked player, Five-Star big man Evan Mobley signed with USC, where he will team up with his dad (assistant coach) and Isaiah (fellow big man) in Los Angeles. ESPN’s number three ranked player, Five-Star Point Guard Cade Cunningham signed with Oklahoma State.

Duke big man Vernon Carey Jr. announced his intentions to enter the 2020 NBA Draft. Carey averaged eighteen points and nine rebounds per game in his single season in Durham.

Arizona Freshman Guard Josh Green announced he was entering the 2020 NBA Draft after averaging almost twelve points and almost three assists per game in his lone season in Tucson.

Former Kentucky wing Kahlil Whitney, who withdrawed from school in January, has signed with an agent and will enter the 2020 NBA Draft.

Creighton grad transfer Davion Mintz committed to Kentucky on Friday. The Point Guard averaged ten points, three assists, and three rebounds in 2018-19.

Former Columbia Guard Mike Smith will grad transfer to Michigan. The All-Ivy League guard averaged almost twenty-three points and four and a half assists for the Lions. Smith also considered Arizona, Gonzaga, and Seton Hall before deciding on Michigan.

While this isn’t just college basketball news, the NCAA expects to vote on a one-time transfer waiver. They will discuss waiver on April 24 and take a vote on May 20. The NCAA is also expected to make steps regarding student athletes being able to profit off of their name, image, and likeness.
