Late last night, Sports Illustrated reporter Ross Dellenger tweeted that the “Pac-12 is mobilizing a long-discussed plan to rebuild the league with additions from the Mountain West.” This morning, those reports became official with the Pac-12’s official announcement. The Pac-12 Conference Board of Directors voted unanimously to admit Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, and San Diego State to the league The four will join Oregon State and Washington State in the conference effective July 1, 2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year and athletic season. The move helps the Pac-12 get to six teams as they had a two year grace period following the eight programs (Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, and Washington) that exited to get their league over four teams again. They will have to get to eight teams to continue on as a conference in the future follow 2026. The Pac-12 is back ladies and gentlemen!
