Razorbacks Prepare for Tulsa

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas will finish up non-conference play against Tulsa at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

Kickoff between the Razorbacks and Golden Hurricane is set for 7 p.m. Saturday, September 26 on ESPN+ and SEC Network+ with Richard Cross (play-by-play) and Charlie Strong (analyst) on the call. Next up Arkansas heads to College Station to resume SEC play against Texas A&M on October 3.

Saturday night’s matchup between Arkansas and Tulsa will stream on ESPN+ and SEC Network+ with (play-by-play), (analyst) and (sideline reporter) on the call. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

Notes:
Ryan Silverfield faces his first American Conference opponent since leaving Memphis, Tulsa on Saturday. Silverfield went 2-1 against the Golden Hurricane during his tenure for the Tigers from 2020-25. The last time Memphis faced Tulsa, and the Tigers dominated 45-7 on Oct. 4, 2025.

QB KJ Jackson has started all three games for Arkansas behind center since winning the starting quarterback job in fall camp. The Montgomery, Ala. native has completed 58 of 96 passes (60.4%) for 618 yards, 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Jackson could split time with backup quarterback AJ Hill against Tulsa as the two did so 45-17 loss to No. 2 Georgia on Sept. 19.

RB Sutton Smith has carried the football 28 times for 66 yards and a touchdown while adding six receptions for 49 yards through the first three games of the 2026 season. The Marietta, Ga. native will look to lead an inspired rushing attack with Braylen Russell, Cam and Jasper Parker that has not yet established itself this season against the Golden Hurricane.

WR Chris Marshall has impressed as the top wide receiver for the Razorbacks through three games the 2026 season. Marshall turned in his first 100-yard receiving game as a Razorback against the No. 2 Bulldogs. Marshall caught seven passes for 136 yards in their SEC opener against Georgia. The Missouri City, Texas native will continue to be the trustworthy threat for Jackson and Hill down the field for the Razorbacks throughout the 2026 season.

DB Khmori House has been the leader of the Arkansas defense, with 17 tackles so far this season. House leads the Razorbacks in tackles for loss (3.5) and sacks (2.0) The Pasadena, Calif. native has recorded a tackle for loss in each of the first three games this year.

Tre Lamb has his Tulsa team at 3-0 entering their trip to Fayetteville to play Arkansas on Saturday. Lamb has an overall head coaching record of 34-33 in seven seasons and a 7-8 record at Tulsa in his second season in the post. Lamb’s Golden Hurricane team upset Oklahoma State 24-10 on Sept. 5 who defeated then-No. 6 ranked Oregon on Sept. 12. His team shut out East Texas A&M 42-0 on Sept. 19.

QB Dexter Williams II is expected to step in for injured starter Baylor Hayes on Saturday against Arkansas. Williams has seen action in two games so far during the 2026 season, first in Tulsa’s 23-17 win against Sam Houston State on Sept. 12 and then in their 42-0 shutout of East Texas A&M. The Macon, Ga. native has completed 14 of 27 (51.8%) for 164 yards and 3 touchdowns.

RB Damari Alston has carried the ball 36 times for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns through three games this season. The fifth-year tailback’s best output this season was in the Golden Hurricane’s upset of Oklahoma State on Sept. 5, where he rushed 15 times for 73 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Atlanta, Ga. native will look to keep things going against the Razorbacks.

WR Oran Singleton Jr. has caught nine passes for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns for Tulsa across their first three games this season. Like Alston, Singleton Jr.’s best showing so far this season was against the Cowboys on Sept. 5, where he caught four passes for 99 yards and 1 touchdown in the victory. The Clewiston, Fla. native is one of only three Golden Hurricane receivers with a touchdown catch this season (Donnell Gee Jr. and Jackson Schockley).

LB Chris Thompson Jr. leads the Tulsa defense with 26 tackles, 3 passes defended and 1 fumble recovery through three contests this season. Thompson Jr. recorded 10 tackles against Oklahoma State on Sept. 5, 8 tackles against Sam Houston State on Sept. 12 and 8 again against East Texas A&M Sept. 19. The Duncanville, Texas native has six more tackles than any other Golden Hurricane defenders this season.
