Arkansas Welcomes Tennessee Back to Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Kickoff between the Razorbacks and Volunteers is set for 3:15 p.m. Saturday, October 10 on the SEC Network with Matt Schumacker (play-by-play), Aaron Murray (analyst) and Taylor Davis (sideline reporter) on the call. Next up Arkansas travels to Nashville to face Vanderbilt on October 17.

Schedule: No. 15 Tennessee (4-1) at Arkansas (2-3)

Tune In: Saturday afternoon’s matchup between Arkansas and Tennessee will stream on SEC Network with Matt Schumacker (play-by-play), Aaron Murray (analyst) and Taylor Davis (sideline reporter) on the call. The game can also be heard on the Razorback Sports Network from Learfield including locally in Fayetteville on 92.1 FM or through the Razorback app, with Chuck Barrett (play-by-play), Quinn Grovey (analyst) and Geno Bell (sideline reporter) on the call from inside Kyle Field.

Notes:
Ryan Silverfield is seeking his first SEC head coaching win and is looking for Arkansas’ fifth consecutive home win against Tennessee. The Razorbacks have defeated the Volunteers in each of its last four meetings against Tennessee at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium (2006, 2011, 2020 and 2024).

QB KJ Jackson has completed 95 of 157 passes (60.5%) for 1,038 yards, six touchdowns and a team-leading two rushing touchdowns through five games. The Montgomery, Ala. native recorded his first 300-yard passing game and recorded two rushing touchdowns in the win against Tulsa on Sept. 26 to become only the third Arkansas quarterback to since 1995 to throw for 300-plus yards with multiple rushing scores in a game.

RB Braylen Russell is Arkansas’ leading rusher through five games this season, totaling 40 carries (3.4 yards per carry) for 136 yards and a touchdown. The Benton, Ark. native rushed for a season-high 49 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries in the Razorbacks’ 31-14 victory against North Alabama on Sept. 5.

WR Chris Marshall is the star of the Arkansas offense through five games this season. The Missouri City, Texas native has caught 35 passes for 549 yards and two touchdowns. Marshall season has been highlighted by back-to-back 100-yard receiving performances against Georgia on Sept. 19 and Tulsa on Sept. 26. Marshall leads the SEC in receiving plays of 10-plus yards (25) and first down receptions (24) while ranking second in receptions (35), receiving yards (549), receptions per game (7.0) and receiving yards per game (109.8)

DB Khmori House has led the Arkansas defense through the first five games of the 2026 campaign. The Pasadena, Calif. native leads the Razorbacks in tackles for loss (4.5), and sacks (2.0) so far this season. House has recorded a tackle for loss in each of Arkansas’ five games this season.

Josh Heupel has gone 77-29 overall as a head coach and has a 49-21 record over six seasons at Tennessee. Heupel’s Volunteers are 4-1 overall with a 1-1 record in the SEC following their 24-14 win against Auburn on Oct. 3. Heupel will attempt to lead Tennessee to their first win against Arkansas in Fayetteville since the 2001 season on Saturday afternoon.

George MacIntyre is expected to make his first start at quarterback for Josh Heupel and Tennessee after replacing Faizon Brandon in the second quarter of the victory against Auburn on Oct. 3. The Franklin, Tenn. native has seen action in three games so far this season where he has completed 14 of 20 passes for 148 yards for a touchdown. After MacIntyre replaced Brandon against the Tigers, he completed 8 of 10 passes for 80 yards in the victory.

RB DeSean Bishop has powered the Tennessee offense through five games this season with 88 carries for 540 yards and seven touchdowns. The Knoxville, Tenn. native exploded in the win against Auburn with 34 carries for 220 yards and three touchdowns on Oct. 3. Bishop’s performance against the Tigers included season highs in carries, rushing yards and touchdowns.

WR Mike Matthews has paced the Tennessee receivers throughout the 2026 campaign. The Lilburn, Ga. native has recorded 18 catches for 318 yards and three touchdowns through five contests this season. Matthews caught four passes for 57 yards in the victory against Auburn on Oct. 3.

LB Arion Carter leads Tennessee in tackles despite only seeing action in four games so far during the 2026 season. The Smyrna, Tenn. native has totaled 33 tackles and a sack so far this season. Carter recorded 6 total tackles and 1 fumble recovery against Auburn on Oct. 3.
