Reacting to the Chiefs comeback win over the 49ers in Super Bowl 54

For a third time this postseason, the Kansas City Chiefs trailed big in the postseason. It took three clutch drives by QB Patrick Mahomes and three stout defensive series by the Chiefs defense to seal it. They proved that they could win on the biggest stage even if they were down by ten entering the fourth quarter. Congratulations to the Chiefs and everyone involved in the organization.

cbhsports 2020 Super Bowl 54 Preview

Super Bowl
San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Hard Rock Stadium (Miami,FL)
Sunday February 2, 5:30 PM CT
FOX

Though the Chiefs are favored in this game, the 49ers have been the best team in football this season. Let’s take a look at how each position battle fares. The Chiefs have the 49ers quarterback wise as Patrick Mahomes is a top five NFL QB and Jimmy Garappolo is not even a top ten QB. At running back the 49ers have em. At tight end, it is an even match up as the game’s two best tight ends will square off in Kansas City’s Travis Kelce and San Francisco’s George Kittle. The offensive line battle is even. Wide Receivers are owned by Kansas City. On defense just overall the 49ers are so much better than the Chiefs are. This is a fifty-fifty game so I’m going to go with the 49ers. Prediction:49ers 34, Chiefs 33

Reacting to Kobe’s death

I am so sad right now because of the death of one of the greatest to ever lace em up has died suddenly in a helicopter crash. Kobe Bryant died Sunday in a helicopter crash along with eight others (including his daughter Gigi). Kobe brought so much and I am sad that he is gone. It seems like his twenty year career ended yesterday. It seems like his final game (where he scored 60 POINTS) was yesterday. Rest In Peace Kobe. You will forever be a legend.

What the NBA Playoffs would look like if they began today

This post was made on Sunday January 19, 2020 so that’s what the records are from.

Eastern Conference

1.Milwaukee Bucks (38-6)
8.Brooklyn Nets (18-23)

With Kyrie Irving sitting a lot for the Nets, this series wouldn’t be too much for Giannis and the gang.

4.Boston Celtics (27-14)
5.Indiana Pacers (27-15)

Both of these teams have improved, but once Indiana gets star Victor Oladipo back, these two would have a great clash.

3.Toronto Raptors (28-14)
6.Philadelphia 76ers (28-16)

Last year’s ECSF, would be an excellent first round match up even though a lot of basketball still has to be played. But, in this series I’m picking the 76ers any day if they’re at full strength.

2.Miami Heat (29-12)
7.Orlando Magic (20-23)

An all sunshine state battle is in the first round of the playoffs. Kendrick Nunn, Jimmy Butler, and the Heat would have no problems with the Magic, though.

Western Conference

1.Los Angeles Lakers (34-8)
8.Memphis Grizzlies (20-22)

What a fun first round series this would be. Ja Morant and the young Grizzlies facing off versus LeBron and the Lakers.

4.Utah Jazz (29-13)
5.Dallas Mavericks (27-15)

I don’t think Utah wants to see Dallas in the first round, with the excellent play of Guard Luka Doncic, but this will be a competitive series.

3.LA Clippers (30-13)
6.Houston Rockets (26-15)

Another fun series with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George battling Russell Westbrook and James Harden for the right to get to the WCSF.

2.Denver Nuggets (29-12)
7.Oklahoma City Thunder (24-19)

Denver should dominate this series.

cbhsports 2020 NFL AFC and NFC Championships Preview:Predicting who will be headed to Miami

AFC Championship
Tennessee Titans at. Kansas City Chiefs
Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City,MO)
Sunday January 19, 2:05 PM CT
CBS

Before I say anything about this game, Tennessee has had to play two almost perfect games for them to get here. First, they had to beat what many people call the “GOAT” in Tom Brady and his New England Patriots. Then, they beat the presumable MVP this season and the Baltimore Ravens, who were playing the best football in the NFL this season many think. But the way that the Chiefs mounted a comeback, coming back from 24 down, was magical. Plus, I don’t see the Titans coming into Arrowhead and beating this Chiefs team. So, I’ve got the Chiefs but watch out for the Titans. Prediction:Chiefs 38, Titans 28

NFC Championship
Green Bay Packers at. San Francisco 49ers
Levi Stadium (San Francisco,CA)
Sunday January 19, 5:40 PM CT
FOX

The last time these two teams squared off, the 49ers walked into Lambeau Field and destroyed this Packers team. But with a trip to Miami (the Super Bowl) on the line, things may be a little different. So, I give the home team in this one an advantage too. And not just for that reason. Using their running game and defense to get to this game might have been easy but now young QB Jimmy Garapollo will have to step up and make big time throws against the Green Bay defense. On the other side of things, Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur led the Packers to the NFC Championship in his first year there. But, like in their first matchup this season, the 49ers will fluster QB Aaron Rodgers and will come away a win away from winning the Super Bowl. Prediction:49ers 24, Packers 20

cbhsports 2020 CFB CFP National Championship Preview:Previewing and Predicting the national championship

CFP National Championship
3.Clemson vs. 1.LSU
Mercedes-Benz Superdome
New Orleans, Louisiana
8 PM ET, ESPN/ESPN App

Two of the best quarterbacks in the country meet in the CFP National Championship between LSU’s Heisman winner Joe Burrow and Clemson’s phenom Trevor Lawrence. Both teams have receivers that are long and tall including Clemson’s Justyn Ross and Tee Higgins and LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, and Terrace Marshall. It’s the defenses though that will change the game. Whoever’s defense can step up and make plays down the stretch. That is what will determine the game. Prediction:LSU 55, Clemson 45

Should Jim Harbaugh be fired?

The one thing everyone wants him to do is beat Ohio State. He has gone 0-5 versus Michigan’s hated rival down south. Harbaugh also closed a season again with back to back losses. If Michigan wants to get to the next level and move to the next tier of college football (Alabama, LSU, Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia) they may have to test their luck letting Harbaugh go. Who would replace him? A guy like Stanford Head Coach David Shaw or Iowa State Head Coach Matt Campbell. would be interesting. To get to the next level you have to beat your biggest rival. That is why you should fire Jim Harbaugh and move on.

2020 PG Jalen Suggs commits to Gonzaga

ESPN’s number six ranked senior Jalen Suggs committed to Gonzaga on Saturday night. Suggs is the highest ranked commit in Gonzaga’s history. Suggs said, “I think Mark Few (Gonzaga’s coach) is the best coach in the country.” Suggs chose the zags over Florida, Florida State, Iowa State, and Minnesota. Cowboys to move on from Jason Garrett

The Dallas Cowboys will move on from head coach Jason Garrett sources say. Jason Garrett’s Cowboys finished 8-8 for the fourth time in nine seasons and did not make the playoffs with one of the most talented rosters in the NFL. Garrett’s contract will end on January 14. Once it is official, Dallas will begin their first coaching search since 2007.
