Former UCLA commit Nix third to join NBA G-League’s new program (CBB News)

Five-Star Point Guard Daishen Nix decommitted from UCLA on Tuesday. Nix is signing to become the third 2020 Five-Star to join the NBA G-League’s new pathway program. Nix plans to spend a year in the G-League and then enter the 2021 NBA Draft. Daishen Nix joins top ten 2020 ESPN 100 recruits Jalen Green (SG) and Isaiah Tood (PF) as players who will try the new program and likely enter the 2021 Draft two Junes from now. Todd decided against what he previously thought he was going to do (go overseas) and enter the G-League program. Nix is ranked number twenty in the 2020 ESPN 100 himself.

Gonzaga Forward Filip Petrusev has announced he will test the 2020 NBA Draft waters, but becomes the third bulldog not sign with an agent. The West Coast Conference Player of the Year averaged 17.5 points and almost 8 rebounds per game in 2019-2020.

Wake Forest fired men’s basketball head coach Danny Manning after a weak six seasons. Manning went an abysmal 14-42 in the ACC during his tenure.
