What an 8 team playoff would look like in college football in 2020-2021

Rules
1.Every Power Five Conference champion is seeded one to five based on the order they are ranked in the final CFP rankings (which were made on Sunday 12/20/2020).

2.The two highest ranked teams in the final CFP rankings (which were made on Sunday 12/20/2020) that are in the Power 5 and were not conference champions this season are seeded based on the order of the final CFP rankings.

3.The highest ranked Group of 5 conference champion in the final CFP rankings (which were made on Sunday 12/20/2020).

4.In the quarterfinals, the higher seed hosts.

5.In the semifinals, the two higher seeds in each game pick between the two New Year’s Six Bowl games designated for the CFP in 2020-2021 season to play in.

1.Alabama (11-0)

2.Clemson (10-1)

3.Ohio State (6-0)

4.Oklahoma (8-2)

5.Oregon (4-2)

6.Notre Dame (10-1)

7.Texas A&M (9-1)

8.Cincinnati (9-0)

Quarterfinals

Game 1:8.Cincinnati at. 1.Alabama

Game 2:7.Texas A&M at. 2.Clemson

Game 3:6.Notre Dame at. 3.Ohio State

Game 4:5.Oregon at. 4.Oklahoma

Semifinals (Assuming higher seed wins)

Game 5: 4.Oklahoma vs. 1.Alabama (Rose Bowl, Arlington,TX (being played there due to COVID-19)

Game 6: 3.Ohio State vs. 2.Clemson (Sugar Bowl, New Orleans,LA)

National Championship (Assuming higher seed wins)

2.Clemson vs. 1.Alabama (CFP National Championship, Miami Gardens,FL)
