Arkansas releases full 2021-2022 non-conference slate

Arkansas released its full 2021-2022 non-conference slate on Monday. Here is everything we know about their slate so far:

11/9 Mercer
11/13 Gardner-Webb
11/17 Northern Iowa
11/22 Kansas State (Kansas City,MO) (Hall of Fame Classic)
11/23 Cincinnati/Illinois (Kansas City,MO) (Hall of Fame Classic)
11/28 Penn
12/1 Central Arkansas
12/4 Little Rock
12/7 Charlotte
12/11 Oklahoma (Tulsa)
12/18 Hofstra (North Little Rock)
12/21 Elon
TBA All conference games
1/29 West Virginia (Big 12/SEC Challenge)

Takeaways:
Arkansas will not play a true road game in their 2021-2022 non conference slate but will still be tasked with some difficult games. Arkansas will play both Central Arkansas and Little Rock, the first time ever that Arkansas will play two instate non conference games ever in men’s basketball. The next step should be seeing one of those two facing the Razorbacks in North Little Rock in Simmons Bank Arena. However, the Razorbacks will face Hofstra in North Little Rock the Saturday before Christmas. Playing Kansas State before a potential match up with Cincinnati or Illinois will make or break Arkansas’ November slate. Just two weeks later, the Muss Bus will head to Tulsa to face Oklahoma, led by new head coach Porter Moser. With how talented Arkansas is, fans should expect Arkansas to win all of their non-conference games outside of all of their “Power 6” opponents.

When the full Razorback schedule comes out with conference games, I will make an update post. I will preview and make all of my predictions for the Razorback men’s basketball 2021-2022 season, which will come out November 8, the day before their season tips off.
