2022 cbhsports Super Bowl 56 Preview

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Los Angeles Rams
February 13, 6:30 PM ET, NBC
SoFi Stadium (Inglewood)

Tomorrow, Super Bowl 56 will kick off right now at this time. Of course, it is time to preview the game right here, right now.

Los Angeles, despite playing in their own stadium, will wear their away white jerseys tomorrow. Rams QB Matt Stafford made it to the Super Bowl in his first season after the trade from the Detroit Lions. Stafford gets it to 2021 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp and fellow receiver Odell Beckham Jr. a frequent amount. Stafford and Beckham are appearing in their first Super Bowl. The passing game is not much of a concern for the Rams, but establishing the run game with young backs Cam Akers and Sony Michel will definitely help LA win this game. But their defense is what will truly win this game. Edge rushers Leonard Floyd, Von Miller, and one of if not the best game breakers in NFL at the defensive tackle position, Aaron Donald. Those three as well as top defensive back Jalen Ramsey will make it tough for Bengals QB Joe Burrow and the red hot Cincinnati offense. Burrow’s favorite target is 2021 Offensive Rookie of the Year (and Joe’s former LSU teammate) Ja’Marr Chase. Fellow receivers Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, and talented veteran tight end CJ Uzomah, will challenge a Rams defense that is as talented as they come. Cincinnati’s run game is led by running back Joe Mixon, one of the must underrated in the league. Also underrated is the Cincinnati defense. The Bengals held the then red hot Kansas City offense to just three points in the second half of the AFC Championship. After losing the coin toss in overtime, the Bengals defense picked Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and Cincinnati won a game-winning field goal from rookie kicker Evan McPherson.

It should be a fun one from SoFi, here’s my prediction:

Rams 34, Bengals 31
