Sorry I’m late but I am here to make my NBA Playoffs Conference Semifinals predictions.

Eastern Conference
1.Milwaukee Bucks 3
4.Boston Celtics 4

Boston has already taken game one (and dominated) in Milwaukee. Kyrie Irving and the rest of the Celts will continue to find a way to defend Giannis and win a tough series in seven.

2.Toronto Raptors 4
3.Philadelphia 76ers 3

This should also be a very close series but if Toronto is at their best, led by Kawhi Leonard and veteran guard Kyle Lowry will lead the Raptors past Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid and the 76ers in seven.

Western Conference
1.Golden State Warriors 4
4.Houston Rockets 2
Houston may be one of the only teams that can compete with Golden State offensively and at the head of that is potential MVP,Houston Guard James Harden,who is averaging thirty-six points.Golden State is the best team in the league, obviously, and not many players on Houston can defend Kevin Durant, who I think scores twenty-five or more points in every game this series.Golden State in six or seven.

2.Denver Nuggets 3
3.Portland Trail Blazers 4
Guard Damian Lillard has been amazing for the Blazers.Lillard has been a dynamic scorer and did it against Russell Westbrook.Nuggets Center Nikola Jokic and Denver will be tough to beat, but after losing in the first round in 2018, I have the Blazers in the western conference finals in 2019.

1.Arizona Cardinals-Kyler Murray,QB,Oklahoma
Kyler could be the catalyst of former Texas Tech Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury’s offense (Patrick Mahomes played for him in Lubbock).Could Kyler become the next Patrick Mahomes.His ability to make throws and get out of the pocket at a short 5’10 and could be the next Russell Wilson as the NFL’s next great undersized QB.

2.San Francisco 49ers-Joey Bosa,DE,Ohio State
Despite an injury on his ankle in an early season game versus TCU, and leaving OSU early to prepare for the NFL, Bosa is still the top talent in the draft.If he falls here, Bosa’s pass rushing skills will be too hard to pass up.

3.New York Jets-Josh Allen,OLB,Kentucky
Its either him or Quinnen Williams (a Defensive Tackle from Alabama) but the Kentucky product’s seventeen sacks in his final season in Lexington will be too much to pass up.

4.Oakland Raiders-Quinnen Williams,Alabama
Oakland Raiders Head Coach Jon Gruden would love to see Allen fall to him and there’s a fifty percent chance he does.Gruden could go with LSU’s ILB Devin White but Quinnen Williams is a force on the inside.The team that will be in Las Vegas in 2020-21, should get their quarterback wrecker of the future in Williams.

5.Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Devin White,ILB,LSU
Notice how three of the top five picks are three SEC defensive players, well it continues with Devin White who should help a pretty awful defense in Tampa.White has excellent athleticism and has a knack for getting to the QB.

6.New York Giants-Ed Oliver,DT,Houston
While they could fill a glaring need at QB, the defensive line is also a major need in East Rutherford.Oliver was the projected top pick at the beginning of the college football season, and should be an immediate impact player, despite playing lesser competition at the group of five level.

7.Jacksonville Jaguars-TJ Hockenson,TE,Iowa
Hockenson will give new QB Nick Foles a weapon on a small Jacksonville tight end depth chart.

8.Detroit Lions-Christian Wilkins,DE,Clemson
While there are many other potential picks here (Brian Burns,OLB,Florida State;Devin Bush,ILB,Michigan;Rashan Gary,DT,Michigan) but Wilkins has obviously played at the highest level in the college level (winning two national champions) and headed one of the best college defensive lines of all-time at Clemson.

9.Buffalo Bills-Jonah Williams,OT/G,Alabama
Williams is an offensive lineman who will bolster a decent unit in Buffalo,who can play multiple positions on the line.

10.Denver Broncos-Dwayne Haskins,QB,Ohio State
While he could drop farther, or Denver could bolster there thin wide receiver unit, Haskins can make all of the throws, and John Elway will make the Dwayne his next QB at Mile High Stadium.

Auburn Sophomore Forward Chuma Okeke,who tore his ACL in the tigers’s Sweet Sixteen game versus North Carolina, has declared for the NBA Draft.

2018-19 Big Ten Player of the Year,Guard Cassius Winston will return to East Lansing for his Senior season and play one more year under Tom Izzo.Winston’s teammate will not be back,though,as Michigan State Forward Nick Ward has declared for the draft,and has gotten an agent.

Missouri Sophomore big man Jontay Porter has declared for the NBA Draft.Porter reclassified so he could play with his brother,Michael (who is now in the NBA with the Denver Nuggets),for a season.Porter played two seasons for the Tigers.

Western Kentucky Freshman Center Charles Bassey declares for the NBA Draft.Bassey was the C-USA Freshman of the Year,and Defensive Player of the Year after averaging almost fifteen points,ten rebounds,and two and a half blocks per contest in 2018-19.

Matthew Hurt,the number ten ranked player in the 2019 ESPN 100,and the number two ranked Power Forward,has committed to Duke.Hurt joins Center Vernon Carey and Small Forward Wendall Moore as five-stars in Duke’s 2019 class.Hurt chose to play for the Blue Devils over North Carolina,Kansas,and Kentucky.

Duke Freshman Forward Zion Williamson has declared for the 2019 NBA Draft in June.Williamson joins Duke teammates RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish, who have already declared for June’s draft.

While I will never write about golf on this blog, I am so glad that Tiger Woods won his fifteenth major tournament and fifth Masters.

Duke Freshman Forward Zion Williamson has sweeeped the college basketball player of the year awards, winning the AP, Naismith, and winning the John R. Wooden Player of the Year Award last night.Williamson also won the Karl Malone Award as the nation’s best Power Forward.

Other awards given out were to Duke Freshman Guard RJ Barrett who won the Jerry West Award for the best shooting guard, Murray State Sophomore Guard Ja Morant won the Bob Cousy Award for the best point guard, Gonzaga Junior Forward Rui Hachimura won the Julius Erving Award for the nation’s top small forward, and Wisconsin Senior Center Ethan Happ won the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award for the nation’s top center.

While I haven’t watched enough NBA basketball this year, I will be making my first round predictions for the 2019 playoffs right now.I hope you guys enjoy them.

Giannis Antentokounmpo should lead the way over a Detroit Pistons team that should win one game on their home floor.

Since Victor Oladipo went down with an injury for the Pacers, I think Pacers fans should be happy they are here because they won’t be for long.The Pacers show some fight but against an underachieving Celtics team that should make a pretty good playoff run,the Celtics have Kyrie Irving.I’m taking the team with more talent here.

3.Philadelphia 76ers 4
6.Brooklyn Nets 1
Brooklyn Nets Guard De’Angelo Russell will make the series interesting but the talent of Brooklyn won’t be enough for the loaded 76ers.This series should be easy for the 76ers.I don’t see a clean sweep because of inconsistency from Philadelphia at some points in the season.Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Tobias Harris lead Philadelphia to a gentleman’s sweep.

2.Toronto Raptors 4
7.Orlando Magic 0
Toronto should come out firing on all cylinders in these playoffs after getting swept by LeBron and the Cavs last season.LeBron is not here anymore, so Raptors dominate, make easy work of the Magic.

Western Conference
1.Golden State Warriors 4
8.LA Clippers 1
Golden State is the best team in the NBA.If there was a sweep this would be the one but Golden State will lose a game in this series on the road.Golden State wins easily.

4.Houston Rockets 4
5.Utah Jazz 2
James Harden has put together another MVP caliber year and that’s the reason why they will be going to face Golden State in the second round.Utah is the best defensive team in the western conference and Guard Donavan Mitchell should have a great series for the Jazz as well as rim protecting Center Rudy Gobert.It won’t be enough for the series as James Harden leads Houston into round two.

3.Portland Trail Blazers 3
6.Oklahoma City Thunder 4
This is the one and only “upset” I have picked in the first round but the Thunder swept the Blazers in the regular season.Thunder Guard Russell Westbrook and Blazers Guard Damian Lillard should be the Point Guard duel of the playoffs.Thunder Forward Paul George will be the difference, as his two-way ability will help OKC advance.

2.Denver Nuggets 4
7.San Antonio Spurs 3
The unexpierenced Nuggets meet the most expierienced team in basketball in the San Antonio Spurts.Denver will have trouble getting out of this series but they will advance barely; on a Nikola Jokic buzzer-beater.

Duke Freshman wing Cam Reddish declares for the 2019 NBA Draft.Reddish declared for draft after having an “epic” year according to Reddish.Reddish joins fellow Duke Freshman wing RJ Barrett in the NBA Draft.Duke Freshman Forward Zion Williamson has yet to declare for the draft.

Eric Musselman hired as Arkansas’s new Men’s Basketball Head Coach.Musselman,the former Nevada Head Coach,led the Wolf Pack to three NCAA Tournament berths,and a Sweet 16 appearance in 2017-18.

Duke Freshman Forward Zion Williamson was named the Naismith College Basketball Player of the Year.Williamson averaged twenty-three points and nine rebounds in what will most likely be his lone season in Durham.

Tennessee Head Coach Rick Barnes was named the Naismith Coach of the Year after leading the Vols to a 31-6 record,and a Sweet 16 berth.
