Future NBA Guard LaMelo Ball is buying his old team from the NBL, the Illawara Hawks. While his manager Jermaine Jackson told ESPN in an article that it was a “done deal”, his old team said the sale is not complete. The potential top pick in the 2020 NBA Draft averaged seventeen points, almost eight rebounds, and seven assists in his lone season with the team he is buying. LaMelo’s manager also said in the article that “Melo (LaMelo) loves the Illawara fans” as to why he loves the community and why he is going to likely buy the team.
